Strengthened gene pools and rewrote conservation,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p> How did Arrowhead lose her life?<\/p>\n<p>Arrowhead was suffering from bone tumor before she succumbed to the disease on Thursday. It was the same day that her daughter Kankati (T-2507) was relocated to <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/cities\/jaipur-news\/ntca-approves-mukundra-hills-tiger-reserve-request-for-tiger-transfer-101645473264971.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve\" rel=\"noopener\">Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve<\/a>, officials from the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve (RTR) said.<\/p>\n<p>Born with three other cubs in 2014 to T-19 Krishna, <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/india-news\/ranthambore-tigress-arrowhead-dies-of-brain-tumour-her-daughter-relocated-to-mukundra-101750338424300.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"Arrowhead\" rel=\"noopener\">Arrowhead<\/a> was sick for a long time. An autopsy report of hers had previously revealed that several organs of her body were damaged. &#8220;It is a disheartening coincidence that she passed away on the same day when her daughter is being shifted to Mukundra,\u201d Ranthambore Tiger Reserve(RTR) field director Anoop KR said.<\/p>\n<p> Arrowhead strengthened bloodline of Ranthambhore\u2019<\/p>\n<p>According to Field Director Anup K R, the <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/opinion\/ecostani-arrowhead-a-tigress-who-lit-up-the-forests-of-ranthambore-101750668906831.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"tigress\" rel=\"noopener\">tigress<\/a> was born in February 2014. She was mostly seen in Zones 2, 3, 4 and 5 of the national park, with Nal Ghati and Rajbagh Lake being her primary territories.<\/p>\n<p>Arrowhead gave birth four times and was the mother of 10 <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/trending\/tiger-cubs-caught-playing-joyfully-in-forest-as-mother-keeps-a-loving-eye-on-them-sheer-bliss-101750335079025.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"cubs\" rel=\"noopener\">cubs<\/a>. Six of them are alive. She gave birth for the last time in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>She was sighted with two cubs, her first litter, on February 22, 2018. She gave birth to her second litter on January 2, 2019 and third litter on July 23, 2021. Kankati (T-2507) belonged to her fourth and last litter.<\/p>\n<p> Arrowhead carried the unmatched legacy of Ranthambore tigresses<\/p>\n<p>Arrowhead recently made it to the headlines after a video of her hunting a crocodile went viral. Netizens recalled the hunting prowess of Machhli, Arrowhead&#8217;s grandmother and one of the most photographed tigresses often referred to as the &#8220;Queen of Ranthambore&#8221; and &#8220;Crocodile Hunter&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Forest officials and wildlife enthusiasts paid heartfelt tributes before Arrowhead was cremated.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Arrowhead carried forward the legacy of Machhli, both in spirit and strength,&#8221; Shakir Ali, a senior guide in the tiger reserve, said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Arrowhead(T-84), the legendary Ranthambore tigress, was cremated today.
