Media personality Bright Kankam Boadu has advised Ghanaian musicians against recording tribute songs for the late Highlife legend, <\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>Daddy Lumba<\/a>. <\/p>\n

He believes the existing songs by the musician are more than enough to honour him, rather than releasing new songs that do not sound good.<\/p>\n

Speaking on his show on Angel FM, Kankam Boadu explained that he has noticed some artistes have started recording tribute songs since the news of <\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>Daddy Lumba<\/a>\u2019s death broke.<\/p>\n

However, according to him, the quality of these songs is not impressive and does not match the legacy of the legendary musician.<\/p>\n

\u201cMusicians should stop recording a tribute song for the late <\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>Daddy Lumba<\/a>, as the tributes being produced do not even sound well. <\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>Daddy Lumba<\/a> himself has many songs that could serve as tributes, such as \u2018Makra Mo\u2019 and \u2018Adaka Tea,\u2019\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The media personality added that recently, he received a song from someone who claimed it was a tribute to <\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>Daddy Lumba<\/a>. <\/p>\n

He said after listening to it, he questioned whether the person believed the song was suitable for such a great musician.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecently, someone sent me a tribute song dedicated to <\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>Daddy Lumba<\/a> because I\u2019ve been discussing him a lot. After listening to it, I asked the person if they really thought this song was appropriate as a tribute for <\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>Daddy Lumba<\/a>,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a><\/a>Daddy Lumba<\/a>, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, passed away on July 26, 2025, at the Bank Hospital in Accra. <\/p>\n

A candlelight vigil was held on August 2, 2025, at the Independence Square to honor his memory.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
