The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) says there was a release of sulfur dioxide from the Delaware City refinery late Sunday night.<\/p>\n
According to the Delaware Environmental Release Notification System, a compressor failure caused 94 pounds of sulfur dioxide to release through a flaring event.<\/p>\n
The release occurred just before midnight.<\/p>\n
