CHICAGO \u2014 A mix of Democratic lawmakers from Illinois and Texas met in Chicago Monday for a press conference slamming republicans\u2019 effort to redraw congressional districts in Texas.<\/p>\n
It aims to shift five seats to Republicans, a move that would bolster the party’s narrow majority, an effort which was pushed by President Donald Trump, ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.<\/p>\n
