Manchester United have had to reassess their finances before making an offer for Benjamin Sesko.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Red Devils are very much in the market for a new striker and RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko<\/a> is the top priority.<\/p>\n

Manchester United are yet to bid for Sesko<\/a>, but they remain in talks with the Slovenian star and are waiting for him to make his final decision.<\/p>\n

That is because Premier League rivals Newcastle United are also pushing for the 22-year-old\u2019s signature.<\/p>\n

Not only did Newcastle make a \u00a365m bid before United<\/a> had made their move, but they have now tabled a second, improved offer.<\/p>\n

With the future of Alexander Isak up in the air, Newcastle are going head-to-head with United for Sesko\u2019s signature.<\/p>\n

According to journalist David Ornstein, Newcastle have now submitted a new, improved offer for Sesko worth at least \u20ac80m, equating to \u00a369m.<\/p>\n

The report adds that Leipzig are currently favouring Newcastle after they moved swiftly to bid for Sesko and agree to their payment terms.<\/p>\n

In contrast, United are waiting to hear from Sesko before tabling their bid for the young striker.<\/p>\n

The good news, though, is that the deal is within United\u2019s budget.<\/p>\n

Man United reassess PSR for Benjamin Sesko deal<\/p>\n

Heading into the summer, it was reported that United were close to their PSR limits<\/a> after losing the Europa League final and missing out on Champions League qualification.<\/p>\n

It was made clear that United will be heavily reliant on sales to bring in cash this summer, but so far Marcus Rashford\u2019s loan move to Barcelona is the only significant exit.<\/p>\n

However, United can still fund a mega-deal<\/a> this summer, and iNews<\/a> report that United have reassessed their current PSR situation and decided that Sesko is affordable possibly without any more sales.<\/p>\n

United would likely have to match Newcastle\u2019s offer to encourage Leipzig to accept, meaning Sesko could cost around \u00a369m and take the summer spending to over \u00a3200m.<\/p>\n
