1.\u00a0Fort Worth firefighters battle six-alarm apartment fire on Monday<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

A six-alarm apartment fire broke out Monday afternoon in Fort Worth, requiring a large-scale response from the fire department.<\/p>\n

When firefighters arrived around 1:30 p.m., the fire started as a two-alarm fire. Heavy smoke and flames trapped people in their apartments, prompting a third alarm for the fire. Texas heat and a partial roof collapse forced the incident commander to call a six-alarm fire as firefighters fought the blaze.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Gov. Greg Abbott’s veto of THC ban brings sigh of relief, more unknown for Texas hemp industry<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

Late Sunday night, Gov. Greg Abbott vetoed Senate Bill 3 with just about a half hour to go before the bill became a law. SB 3 was the so-called hemp-based THC ban that passed both chambers of the state Legislature last month, after extensive debate and public comment on the topic.<\/p>\n

The veto was praised by many on social media Monday, especially cannabis advocates and Texans who make a living in the hemp industry.<\/p>\n

A fragile\u00a0ceasefire between Iran and Israel\u00a0appeared to hold Tuesday after initially faltering, and U.S. President Donald Trump expressed frustration with both sides, saying they have fought \u201cfor so long and so hard\u201d that they do not know what they are doing.<\/p>\n
