A toddler is dead after she was hit by a vehicle outside her home in northeast Calgary on Monday night.<\/p>\n
Emergency crews were called to Taradale Drive NE near Taravisty Way around 6:55 p.m. for reports of a young child being hit by a vehicle.<\/p>\n
Calgary police say a girl around two-years-old was struck in the back alley just outside her house.<\/p>\n
The girl was rushed to the Alberta Children\u2019s hospital where she eventually died from her injuries.<\/p>\n
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.<\/p>\n
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, but police say alcohol has been ruled out as a factor.<\/p>\n
