{"id":120570,"date":"2025-08-05T09:59:16","date_gmt":"2025-08-05T09:59:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/120570\/"},"modified":"2025-08-05T09:59:16","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T09:59:16","slug":"alleged-phoenix-kidnapper-indicted-rearrested-days-after-jail-release","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/120570\/","title":{"rendered":"Alleged Phoenix kidnapper indicted, rearrested days after jail release"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\"><b>PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 Police say the Valley man <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azfamily.com\/2025\/07\/08\/phoenix-man-accused-assaulting-woman-locking-her-shed-weeks\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.azfamily.com\/2025\/07\/08\/phoenix-man-accused-assaulting-woman-locking-her-shed-weeks\/\">accused of a violent kidnapping<\/a> is now back behind bars this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Phoenix police confirmed to Arizona\u2019s Family that Timothy James Wood was arrested Monday on a felony grand jury warrant related to a case where he reportedly locked his girlfriend in a shed for two weeks while he tormented her.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Jail records obtained Monday evening indicate that he was indicted on five charges, including kidnapping, aggravated assault, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">\u201cWe\u2019re relieved and thankful that charges have finally been officially filed,\u201d the victim\u2019s family said, upon learning of Wood\u2019s arrest. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Last week, the department <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azfamily.com\/2025\/07\/30\/phoenix-police-resubmit-charges-against-alleged-kidnapper-after-release-jail\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.azfamily.com\/2025\/07\/30\/phoenix-police-resubmit-charges-against-alleged-kidnapper-after-release-jail\/\">resubmitted charges against Wood<\/a> after prosecutors requested additional evidence from detectives related to the case.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Wood\u2019s release from jail drew scrutiny from the woman who claimed to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azfamily.com\/2025\/07\/29\/alleged-victim-accused-phoenix-kidnapper-says-justice-system-is-failing-her\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.azfamily.com\/2025\/07\/29\/alleged-victim-accused-phoenix-kidnapper-says-justice-system-is-failing-her\/\">one of his victims<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azfamily.com\/2025\/07\/10\/mom-alleged-domestic-violence-victim-fears-abuser-will-walk-free\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.azfamily.com\/2025\/07\/10\/mom-alleged-domestic-violence-victim-fears-abuser-will-walk-free\/\">her family<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Before charges were resubmitted, Arizona\u2019s Family reporter Sarah Robinson talked to Wood.
