S&P 500 futures are near flat Tuesday night as investors analyzed the latest batch of corporate earnings.<\/p>\n
S&P 500 futures<\/a> were little changed, and Dow Jones Industrial Average futures<\/a> fell 13 points, or less than 0.1%. Nasdaq 100 futures<\/a> ticked down 0.2%, weighed down by a decline in Advanced Micro Devices<\/a>.<\/p>\n In extended trading, Snap<\/a> shares tumbled 15% after revenue came in slightly below expectations<\/a>, while AMD fell about 5% after posting adjusted earnings per share<\/a> that missed estimates.<\/a> On the other hand, Arista Networks<\/a> rallied nearly 14% on a stronger-than-expected report.<\/p>\n Those moves follow a losing day<\/a> on Wall Street, marking the S&P 500<\/a>‘s fifth down day of the last six and the Dow<\/a>‘s sixth negative session of the past seven.<\/p>\n Tech stocks lagged in Tuesday’s session, with the Nasdaq Composite<\/a> sliding nearly 0.7%. Small caps were able to buck the market downtrend, with the Russell 2000<\/a> climbing 0.6%.<\/p>\n “We just need some digestion,” said Keith Lerner, co-chief investment officer at Truist Wealth, on CNBC’s “Closing Bell<\/a>.” “Markets don’t move in a straight line. \u2026 But, overall, I still think the underlying trend is positive.”<\/p>\n Investors on Wednesday will monitor earnings reports slated from Disney<\/a>, Uber<\/a> and McDonald’s<\/a> before the bell, followed by Airbnb<\/a>, DoorDash<\/a> and Lyft<\/a> after the market closes.
