But a live snippet of her performing \u201cPool\u201d \u2014 particularly the lines, \u201cHow long do I have left with my dog \u2019til I start forgetting shit?\/How long \u2019til we\u2019re rich and then we\u2019re not and then we\u2019re rich?\u201d \u2014 for NPR has taken on a life of its own, with thousands of fans using the emotional rendition as the sound for the melancholic TikToks.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tThe official stripped version of \u201cPool\u201d comes about a month before Samia is set to return to her North American tour with stops in Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, and Nashville in September and October.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t Samia also released an LP this year,\u00a0Bloodless, featuring songs such as \u201cBovine Excision\u201d and \u201cLizard,\u201d and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/samia-new-album-bloodless-interview-1235292644\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spoke to\u00a0Rolling Stone\u00a0<\/a>about the poetic inspirations behind the music\u00a0on the record.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\t\u201cI started thinking about my experience with womanhood on a larger scale,\u201d she said earlier this year. \u201cI had so much shame about being worried about men and maybe having altered myself in some way because of it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-line-height-copy  lrv-a-font-body-l   \">\n\tRolling Stone named Samia <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/samia-indie-songwriter-kill-her-freak-out-1234981543\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">one of the Future 25,<\/a> lauding her as \u201cone of indie rock\u2019s most poignant songwriters,\u201d back in 2024. \u201cPeople make fun of me because they\u2019re like, \u2018You always look like you\u2019re in disbelief,\u2019 and I am,\u201d she said at the time. \u201cI\u2019m really genuinely surprised. I write songs when I feel crazy.
