Five women from North Texas were killed in a crash in Burnet County last week while on the way to celebrate a birthday. The longtime friends were reportedly on a weekend trip to Kingsland, 64 miles west of Austin.<\/p>\n

Texas House lawmakers have another chance on Tuesday to return to business. A Monday afternoon deadline for a vote on the proposed congressional maps came and went with a majority of Democrats still absent, and it\u2019s likely the quorum break will continue into Tuesday.<\/p>\n
