{"id":123002,"date":"2025-08-06T07:18:12","date_gmt":"2025-08-06T07:18:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/123002\/"},"modified":"2025-08-06T07:18:12","modified_gmt":"2025-08-06T07:18:12","slug":"disney-dis-earnings-q3-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/123002\/","title":{"rendered":"Disney (DIS) earnings Q3 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A water tower stands at Walt Disney Studios on June 3, 2025 in Burbank, California.<\/p>\n<p>Mario Tama | Getty Images<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/DIS\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Disney<\/a> reports its <a href=\"https:\/\/thewaltdisneycompany.com\/disneys-q3-fy25-earnings-results-webcast\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fiscal third-quarter<\/a> earnings before the bell on Wednesday, and Wall Street will be looking for updates on the state of its streaming, TV and movies businesses, as well as its theme parks.<\/p>\n<p>Here is what Wall Street expects Disney to report on Wednesday, according to LSEG<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Earnings per share:<\/strong>\u00a0$1.47 expected<\/li>\n<li><strong>Revenue:<\/strong>\u00a0$23.73 billion expected<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once again, the streaming business will be in focus.<\/p>\n<p>Investors are anticipating further <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/05\/13\/espn-streaming-app-cost-bundle.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">updates<\/a> on the company&#8217;s ESPN direct-to-consumer streaming service. ESPN has said it will launch the app this fall, but has yet to give a firm date.<\/p>\n<p>The streaming service, which will be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/05\/09\/espn-flagship-streaming-app-to-be-named-espn.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">named<\/a> simply ESPN, will house all of the content from the network&#8217;s traditional TV channel and more. It will cost $29.99 a month.<\/p>\n<p>The move comes as more consumers exit the traditional pay TV bundle and switch to streaming. On Tuesday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/quotes\/FOXA\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox Corp<\/a>. announced its own direct-to-consumer streaming app, Fox One, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/08\/05\/fox-one-streaming-service-launch-date-cost.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">would launch on August 21 and cost $19.99 per month.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>During Disney&#8217;s last earnings report in May, the company upped some of its fiscal 2025 guidance and said it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/05\/07\/disney-dis-earnings-q2-2025.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">expected<\/a> a modest rise in customers for streaming service Disney+.<\/p>\n<p>Disney said at the time its flagship service had 126 million global subscribers, exceeding analyst expectations for the period. Disney has previously reported that its streaming business has reached profitability, a metric that has outranked the importance of subscriber growth for media companies.<\/p>\n<p>Disney also announced in May that it reached a deal to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/05\/07\/disney-abu-dhabi-theme-park.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bring<\/a> a theme park and resort to Abu Dhabi \u2014 its seventh theme park resort as the company continues to expand internationally.<\/p>\n<p>Disney&#8217;s experiences business, which includes parks, cruises and resorts as well as consumer products, reported 6% year-over-year revenue growth last quarter. Domestic theme park revenue was up 9%, while international park revenue dipped 5%.<\/p>\n<p>This story is developing.
