They just don\u2019t have a way to get ready for it,\u201d said Matthew Whitfill.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Some tips Whitfall gives to help people keep their plants healthy include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list | article-list\">\n<li>Give them enough water<\/li>\n<li>Give them shade<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">\u201cThe main thing is water. I mean, you really can\u2019t stress enough how important water is,\u201d said Whitfill.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">It\u2019s recommended you water your plants earlier in the morning, so they are hydrated before the hottest part of the day hits.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">There is such a thing as overwatering, though. Whitfill says a good rule of thumb is to make sure the ground, or pot, is dry before you start watering. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | text-start article-text\">Signs that plants are in need of more water?
