Three more aircraft from New Brunswick have been called in to help fight forest fires in this province.<\/p>\n

As of last night, the fire near Kingston, which has grown significantly over the past couple of days, was being held near Spout Brook. <\/p>\n

The evacuation order was expanded yesterday to include Perry\u2019s Cove. The Town of Salmon Cove and Ochre Pit Cove have been put on evacuation alert. <\/p>\n

The evacuation order was also expanded in parts of Holyrood yesterday, however there has been no growth in that fire in the last day. <\/p>\n

Crews are also on the ground in central after a fire yesterday afternoon forced the evacuation of cabin owners near Martin Lake and Great Rattling Brook.<\/p>\n

A province-wide fire ban was put in place yesterday until September 7.<\/p>\n

However, some did not obey the ban yesterday, prompting a response from the St. John\u2019s Regional Fire Department. They were called out to three bonfires in the metro region yesterday after the ban was put in place. <\/p>\n

Environment Canada meteorologist Erica Ranger says winds today should be favourable in helping fight the fires, however there\u2019s no precipitation in the forecast until at least the weekend. She says winds will be light from the southwest.<\/p>\n

Premier John Hogan will provide another update on the fires this morning at 10:15.
