The Howard Stern Show<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is off in the summer but this year has been saying \u2018maybe I should retire\u2019,\u201d another source told the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>The insider noted that Stern is irritated with SiriusXM\u2019s reliance on competing radio star Andy Cohen.<\/p>\n<p>Another source said Stern is even thinking about \u201cparting ways\u201d with SiriusXM. <\/p>\n<p>Stern started the second iteration of \u201cThe Howard Stern Show\u201d on SiriusXM in 2006 and has remained a staple ever since. <\/p>\n<p>The host\u2019s reputation has flip-flopped over the years between being regarded as an awe-inspiring dominator who could pry anything out of any guest to an out-of-touch has-been.<\/p>\n<p>Stern has struggled to clarify his identity over the last few years while insisting that <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/09\/20\/howard-stern-hits-back-at-critics-who-call-him-woke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he is \u201cwoke\u201d<\/a> and simultaneously doing layup interviews with people like <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/04\/26\/us-news\/biden-joins-howard-stern-for-softball-interview-day-after-ny-times-rips-lack-of-availability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">former President Joe Biden<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/10\/10\/us-news\/trump-slams-howard-stern-over-softball-harris-interview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">former Vice President Kamala Harris<\/a> despite <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/03\/19\/entertainment\/howard-sterns-political-u-turn-was-for-a-list-pals-steven-grillo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">leaning Republican<\/a> earlier in his storied career.<\/p>\n<p>A view of the Sirius XM Radio Studios in New York City on March 4, 2019.
