PHOENIX \u2014 A collision between a bicyclist and a vehicle left a woman hospitalized on Tuesday morning, authorities said.<\/p>\n

The Glendale bicycle crash occurred near 63rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road around 3:15 a.m., according to the Glendale Police Department.<\/p>\n

Due to the crash, Bethany Home Road is closed to all vehicle traffic from 67th Avenue to 63rd Avenue.<\/p>\n

The bicyclist was unconscious and had serious, life-threatening injuries when police arrived on the scene. First responders brought them to a hospital.<\/p>\n

The vehicle driver stayed on the scene and was found not to be impaired, police said.<\/p>\n

Before the crash, the bicyclist was traveling on the eastbound sidewalk when it entered the roadway and was hit by the vehicle, police said.<\/p>\n

No further details were made available as this is an ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n
