The Cassia County Sheriff’s Office warns people to avoid the moose, adding “he is very scared.” <\/p>\n

BURLEY, Idaho \u2014 The Cassia County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO<\/a>) posted about a “handsome fella” in the Burley area, which turned out to be a young moose.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The yearling moose is “very scared,” according to CCSO. Officials are asking the public not to approach the animal, due to how scared he is and for everyone’s safety.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Moose can be unpredictable, so getting close to the moose can turn into a dangerous situation very quickly.\u00a0<\/p>\n

CCSO said that Idaho Fish and Game has been contacted, and the sheriff’s office is following the moose but making sure to not bother him.<\/p>\n
