They bring a raw, urgent authenticity to the ER drama that\u2019s both emotionally gripping and career-defining. \u201cIt\u2019s always been a dream to work on a show of this caliber and meet artists of that same caliber,\u201d says Brooks (Mateo). \u201cJust to soak everything in has changed my perspective on so many things, which I\u2019m so grateful for.\u201d Ganesh (Samira) says the experience gave her clarity she hopes to share: \u201cKnow your worth and wait for what is right for you. I wish I had had more faith in myself earlier on \u2026 hold true to what you deserve and what you need.\u201d Azeez (Victoria) found inspiration in those leading the show: \u201cIt\u2019s such a cop out to say [exec producer and star] Noah Wyle and [exec producer] John Wells, but I\u2019ve never seen leadership modelled quite like this before.\u201d And Briones puts it simply: \u201cThings have gotten even more scary in the world\u2026 I wanna see the reality, because I need to know and I need to care about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"pmc-fallback-list-item-wrap lrv-u-margin-b-2\">\n<p>\tWally Baram, Rish Shah<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"240\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/wp-content\/themes\/pmc-variety-2020\/assets\/public\/lazyload-fallback.gif\" class=\"attachment-medium size-medium\" alt=\"\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Wally-Baram-Rish-Shah.jpg\" data-lazy- data-lazy-\/>\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tPrime Video\u2019s \u201cOvercompensating\u201d became an instant hit when it debuted in May, with Baram and Shah starring as friends (and, to varying degrees, love interests) of Benito Skinner\u2019s character Benny. She recently wrapped up her Gold Over America Tour (GOAT), and joined production company Religion of Sports, co-founded by Tom Brady, Michael Strahan and Gotham Chopra, as a creative partner and board member. She starred in the Netflix series \u201cSimone Biles Rising,\u201d and her new role at ROS will open doors for her to more media platforms. She\u2019s even opening a restaurant, Taste of Gold, at the Houston airport. \u201cOne of the biggest things I learned about myself this past year is that no matter where my journey takes me, I\u2019m my best self when I\u2019m able find time and space for myself,\u201d Biles says. \u201cI believe hard work, determination and dedication \u2014 even in facing difficult challenges \u2014 is important in pursuing your goals and dreams, but so is prioritizing your own mental health. I\u2019m not sure if that would be enough yet to completely flip her to any side. The actor, who plays Nessa-Rose in the hit musical, has heard from audiences who have responded to her performance, specifically from disabled people and parents of disabled kids. \u201cThey\u2019ve said how much my casting means to them, and that somebody that looks like them in real life,\u201d she says. Germann, who is shooting \u201cGargoyle 2\u201d right now, will be seen in the highly anticipated \u201cScream 7\u201d next year. \u201cAll of my favorite moments on \u2018Gen V\u2019 have to do with the people. Not just the great cast and crew, but all the people I\u2019ve met who watch the show and are excited about it; it makes everything feel so meaningful in a really special way,\u201d Germann says. Thor, who credits her mom, Alice Carter, as her biggest mentor, has a packed schedule as well, and says, \u201c\u2018Gen V\u2019 was a huge challenge for me because it pushed me to do things that were out of my comfort zone, and it has allowed me to grow in so many ways as an artist.\u201d Broadway, who played for laughs in \u201cKinda Pregnant,\u201d says, \u201cI got to create a character who literally shrinks and grows depending on how she\u2019s feeling \u2014 she\u2019s basically the human embodiment of imposter syndrome meets body image issues. What he didn\u2019t realize was to what extent. The vampire tale set in 1930s Mississippi surpassed $360 million worldwide and is the fifth highest-grossing horror movie of all time at the worldwide box office. \u201cLife is different,\u201d Caton admits. Just four years ago, he was singing with music star H.E.R. and touring while still in school. He had just graduated when the call for \u201cSinners\u201d came in. The film marks his acting debut, and fans have since been sharing artwork and music videos inspired by his performance. \u201cIt\u2019s mind-blowing,\u201d he says about its cultural impact. Caton is excited for the future. Hollywood has opened its doors, and he\u2019s been bitten by the acting bug. \u201cAction and adventure\u201d are among the genres he\u2019d be open to. \u201cAnd love,\u201d he adds.
