It will be used to support retailers, restaurants and other independent businesses in Altadena, Malibu and Pacific Palisades impacted by the Eaton and Palisades fires with direct grants of up to $50,000. Small businesses can apply <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.steadfastla.com\/steadfast-la-small-business-initiative\" target=\"_blank\">online<\/a> for grants, which can be used to help reopen doors or for operational support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tBanc of California is ponying up the initial $1 million while Steadfast LA will offer financial and other support, solicit further donations and roll out a social media campaign to showcase \u201csmall businesses\u2019 remarkable resilience, highlight their additional needs and encourage consumers to support them.\u201d Caruso broke news of the initiative on Wednesday during an online appearance at <a href=\"https:\/\/events.ringcentral.com\/events\/cnbc-small-business-playbook-2025?utm_source=Lander&amp;utm_medium=Events&amp;utm_campaign=SBP\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/events.ringcentral.com\/events\/cnbc-small-business-playbook-2025?utm_source=Lander&amp;utm_medium=Events&amp;utm_campaign=SBP\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CNBC\u2019s Small Business Playbook<\/a> event<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/events.ringcentral.com\/events\/cnbc-small-business-playbook-2025?utm_source=Lander&amp;utm_medium=Events&amp;utm_campaign=SBP\" target=\"_blank\">.<\/a> He did so alongside Gordon and Shirley Wong, owners of Palisades\u2019 Knoll\u2019s Pharmacy, which was leveled in the fire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cThese small businesses were about much more than commercial or economic activity. They were local hallmarks that gave neighborhoods their soul and fostered a sense of community. We cannot abandon them.
