PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A new executive order signed by Gov. Katie Hobbs aims to lower the cost of prescription drugs for Arizonans through a new initiative, beginning early next year. <\/p>\n
On Wednesday, Gov. Hobbs announced that Arizonans will soon be able to join ArrayRx<\/a>, a multi-state public pharmacy program that offers discounted prescription drug prices. The governor\u2019s office says Arizonans who use the ArrayRx Discount Card program will be able to lower the cost of their prescriptions by up to 80 percent.<\/p>\n \u201cFor too long and for too many families, rising costs, including prescription drug prices, have put the Arizona Promise out of reach. Gov. Hobbs says Arizonans will be able to save between 80% for generic drugs and 18% for brand-name drugs per prescription. In addition, the card can be used at over 65,000 pharmacies across the nation.<\/p>\n Coverage will include all FDA-approved prescriptions and discounts on over-the-counter medications and supplies, such as diabetes test supplies.<\/p>\n Arizona joins Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Ohio and Connecticut in collaboration with the program.
