Robert De Niro<\/a><\/strong>, 81, was unrecognizable in new photos after making a major career move.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Aug. 5, the Taxi Driver actor was spotted while out and about in New York City in pictures obtained by the Daily Mail.<\/p>\n

During the Manhattan excursion, the two-time Oscar winner wore a white T-shirt with a gray jacket and khaki shorts. He accessorized with a gray hat and gray sneakers. The Goodfellas<\/a> star wore his gray hair\u2014both on his head and face\u2014longer than fans are used to seeing.<\/p>\n

De Niro’s sighting came on the heels of the iconic actor opening a production studio in Queens with his son, Raphael De Niro<\/strong>, and his business partner, Adam Gordon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“‘I have always loved shooting in New York,” Robert told The New York Times<\/a> on Aug. 4. “There\u2019s no place like New York.”<\/p>\n

In addition to Raphael, De Niro has six other children<\/a>\u2014Drena<\/strong>, Julian<\/strong>, Airyn<\/strong>, Elliot<\/strong>, Helen<\/strong> and Gia<\/strong>, ranging in age from 2 to 53.<\/p>\n

The prolific actor opened up about parenting his youngest child during a June interview with Entertainment Tonight<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s pure joy,\u201d he said at the Tribeca Film Festival. \u201cShe\u2019s 2 now \u2026 and as they get older and older \u2026 then, you know \u2026 but she\u2019s wonderful. She\u2019s just pure joy. What can I say?\u201d<\/p>\n
