Bexar County has \u201cconveyed to the San Pedro Creek Development Authority a 2.3-acre site key to a downtown baseball stadium<\/a> plan that includes significant mixed-use development,\u201d according to W. Scott Bailey of the SAN ANTONIO BUSINESS JOURNAL. The move \u201cclears another hurdle as ballpark backers work to move the project closer to groundbreaking.\u201d The site was previously owned by the San Antonio Independent School District, which \u201cultimately agreed to a sale<\/a>\u201d after a \u201cseries of negotiations.\u201d Bexar County now has \u201cagreed to convey the site to the development authority, clearing the path for the construction\u201d of a new ballpark for the Double-A Texas League San Antonio Missions \u201cprojected to cost roughly\u201d $160M.
