Maher speculated last year whether Loomer was in an \u201carranged marriage\u201d with Trump to tip the election.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s been a dog for too long, and it\u2019s not Melania. I think we may have our answer this week. I think it might be Laura Loomer,\u201d Maher added.<\/p>\n
In the deposition with an HBO lawyer, a copy of which was obtained by Puck<\/a> before a Florida judge sealed it, Loomer accused Maher of starting a \u201cmedia frenzy\u201d about a Trump romance that nixed her access to Trump\u2019s campaign plane. <\/p>\n Before that, Loomer said she had visited Mar-a-Lago \u201c20, 30 times\u201d and maintained nearly unfettered access to Trump.<\/p>\n But Maher\u2019s comments were the final nail in the coffin, she claimed, after Trump instructed aides in April 2023\u2014including campaign manager and now White House chief of staff Susie Wiles\u2014to hire her before they ultimately passed on giving her a position after Trump\u2019s wishes leaked<\/a> to The New York Times.<\/p>\n HBO\u2019s attorneys were skeptical of Loomer\u2019s claim, quizzing her on whether Maher\u2019s comments could have reasonably rung true to people.<\/p>\n \u201cOther than Bill Maher, can you name a single human being on all of Planet Earth that believes what Bill Maher said?\u201d asked Davis Wright Tremaine attorney Kate Bolger, according to Puck.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s up for interpretation,\u201d Loomer responded.<\/p>\n Loomer and HBO did not respond to immediate requests for comment. <\/p>\n Bolger then tried to illustrate, through her questioning, how Loomer\u2019s history of Islamophobic and incendiary remarks may have contributed to losing a White House position. She referenced Loomer\u2019s attacks on Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker\u2019s policies regarding trans people and bathrooms and her avowed hatred of MAGA Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s very jealous of me,\u201d Loomer said, according to Puck. \u201cTrump\u2019s staff told me that they can\u2019t stand Marjorie Taylor Greene.\u201d<\/p>\n But the line of questioning appeared to strike a nerve with the 32-year-old Loomer, who then accused Bolger of being a \u201cDemocratic lawyer who represents fake news media.\u201d <\/p>\n![\"Bill](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/NSPXI7VZHBC47NTY2MIKVLJPA4.jpg\")
