Lieberman appeared on the ‘3s and Ones’ podcast and didn’t hold herself back while roasting Teague, former NBA guard. She said that even Teague wasn’t a great player, but only serviceable. The Hall of Famer who is fondly called “Lady Magic” said, “I don’t agree with Jeff Teague, who I read today said Caitlin Clark, she’s just a good player and she’s not a great player.”

Talking about Teague, she said, “I love you, but you weren’t a great player. You were serviceable. I know you made the All-Star team one time, but if we’re gonna be honest… Caitlin is a great player.” Notably, Teague appeared on an episode of the Club 520 Podcast, where he said that Clark is good but not that good of a player. He said, “She’s good, but she’s not that good. I said [Mitchell] was the best player on the team. Bro, she’s the best player on the team… They ain’t shooting no wild a** threes [with Clark sidelined].”

The statement coming off from someone who was a role player for the majority of his career, didn’t sit well with Lieberman.

Nancy Lieberman fires back at Jeff Teague for saying Caitlin Clark “is good but she not that good”:

“I love you but you weren’t a great player. He recorded a career average of 12.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 5.6 assists in 826 games he played.

When Will Caitlin Clark be Back?

While everyone is trying to defend Caitlin Clark, there is no timeline on a return to court. Clark, 23, has been out of action for more than half of the season now, and still nothing is decided when she will be back. The Tuesday-night fixture, where the Fever slumped to the Los Angeles Sparks 100-91, marked the eighth straight game that Clark missed due to her groin injury. The last time the reigning Rookie of the Year appeared on the court was on July 15. It’s been almost a month, and there is still no word on when she will be back.

Recently, Fever head coach Stephanie White shared an update about Clark saying that her situation is still day-to-day. She said, “It’s day-to-day right now, we’re putting no timetable on it. [She is] going through the rehab process, and then we want to reintegrate her from a strength and conditioning standpoint and then get her back to basketball activities. So we’re taking it one day at a time, really slow rolling it, slow playing it this time.”

It is clear that the Fever are prioritizing Clark’s health, but the season is approaching the playoffs, and the team is in need of her to be back. The Fever are currently 17-13 in the season.

Lieberman jumped in defense of Caitlin Clark and brutally roasted Teague for his statement.
