Not only with\u00a0<strong>Ryan Preece<\/strong>, but also\u00a0<strong>Brad Keselowski.<\/strong>\u00a0\u2026Brad Keselowski today, if he would have won, or if you can win one of the next three races, saving his season, that\u2019s a big story, and the sport is better for that, and you will not convince me otherwise.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mark Martin says fans want change to NASCAR playoff format <\/p>\n<p>Mark Martin has recently talked about how the majority of fans want a change to the NASCAR playoff format. \u201cThe points championship is the one that\u2019s being looked at by NASCAR, and all right now is how could we change the format, or do we need to at all?\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.on3.com\/pro\/news\/denny-hamlin-calls-out-jordan-bianchi-completely-shuts-down-nascar-playoff-take\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Martin told <strong>Kevin Harvick<\/strong><\/a> on Kevin Harvick\u2019s Happy Hour last week. \u201cThe majority of fans want a 36-race championship. Then, 30 percent of the fans want a 10-race chase. 20 percent of the fans want the playoff system or an adjusted version of the playoff system. Until somebody proves me wrong, or until I get an answer for the fans for why their voice doesn\u2019t matter in this decision, I\u2019m going to keep it up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The current NASCAR playoff format has<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?sca_esv=cdfd0c0176bc6a03&amp;rlz=1C1UEAD_enUS1104US1104&amp;sxsrf=AE3TifMjM6ZurJ6XEzoOeKgFyqlfme9Fig:1753992325313&amp;q=nascar+playoff+standings+brickyard&amp;tbm=nws&amp;source=univ&amp;tbo=u&amp;sa=X&amp;ved=2ahUKEwinzfTL8ueOAxU37skDHRb-AWIQt8YBKAF6BAgbEAM&amp;biw=1920&amp;bih=945&amp;dpr=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a016 qualified drivers\u00a0<\/a>competing for the Cup Series championship in the final 10 races of the season. Four drivers are eliminated after every three races, and the final four compete for the title in the championship race.<\/p>\n<p>Martin says the majority of NASCAR fans he has talked to want to go back to the old format, which was the Cup Series champion being determined by which driver had the most points after 36 races.
