\n\tMore than 20 years after the movie that launched Bennifer, Seth Rogen<\/a> recently recalled his audition for 2003\u2019s Gigli<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 3x Golden Globe nominee explained that he was \u201can aspiring young actor\u201d when he auditioned for the role of mentally challenged hostage Brian, who was ultimately portrayed by Justin Bartha<\/a> in the Ben Affleck<\/a>\/Jennifer Lopez<\/a> romantic comedy crime flick.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt has been a long time,\u201d he said on Jimmy Kimmel Live<\/a> of the last time he auditioned. \u201cAnd thank god it was mostly physical VHS tapes and stuff like that that was being used when I was auditioning for things, because the things I auditioned for, in retrospect, if they were out there in the world, they would end my career very, very fast, I believe.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRogen recalled Gigli as an example. \u201cI auditioned for this boy with a cognitive disability. And I don\u2019t think the script was written in what, by today\u2019s standards, would be the most sensitive portrayal of a boy with a cognitive disability,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

\n\tExplaining that he was eager to work with the film\u2019s \u201cgreat director\u201d Martin Brest, Rogen said, \u201cI wanted to leave an impression.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI don\u2019t think I wore a helmet in to the audition itself, but it was at play,\u201d he said with a laugh. \u201cAnd I\u2019m tempted to do an impression of what I did, but I can\u2019t even do it. I can\u2019t. That\u2019s how bad it was. It\u2019s so bad. I dare not even portray what I did in this audition. Because I went for it. I saw myself at the Oscars.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRogen added, \u201cTruthfully, if that tape was out [in] the world today, this would be the last interview you ever saw me do. Other than, like, my apology tour. Please, if you have it, burn it. Please sell it to me. I will buy it.\u201d<\/p>\n
