In 2024, NASCAR had yet to announce a return to Rockingham Speedway. However, Carson Hocevar regularly called for the series to return to the North Carolina track. <\/p>\n
\u201cHave I heard anything about next year\u2019s schedule? Rockingham\u2019s coming back. Really cool,\u201d Carson Hocevar stated on a stream<\/a> that set the internet wild. <\/p>\n And it turned out to be true. I had no idea,\u201d Hocevar stated this week as he reflected on that situation from last year. <\/p>\n \u201cI just picked something that I thought would be cool, for like, a joke. And I showed up at the shop, NASCAR called my team and was like, \u2018What and the hell are you doing?!\u2019 \u201c<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m just like, \u2018What? I don\u2019t know what you mean.\u2019 \u201c<\/p>\n \u201cI had no idea. I just pulled this out of thin air. There wasn\u2019t a rumor, there wasn\u2019t anything.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAnd they\u2019re like, \u2018How do you know Rockingham\u2019s coming back?\u2019 I was like, \u2018Oh no!\u2019 \u201c<\/p>\n \u201cYou wanna know the people bringing Rockingham back? Spire Motorsports!\u201d<\/p>\n Hocevar currently drives for Spire Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series.<\/p>\n Hocevar added, \u201cSo, I lost some plausible deniability.\u201d<\/p>\n To slightly correct Hocevar, Rockingham Speedway is actually owned by Rockingham Properties LLC, with\u00a0Dan Lovenheim.
