{"id":126476,"date":"2025-08-07T13:53:14","date_gmt":"2025-08-07T13:53:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/126476\/"},"modified":"2025-08-07T13:53:14","modified_gmt":"2025-08-07T13:53:14","slug":"a-few-coastal-am-showers-shifting-inland-through-the-afternoon-action-news-jax","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/126476\/","title":{"rendered":"A few coastal AM showers, shifting inland through the afternoon \u2013 Action News Jax"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\">JACKSONVILLE, Fla. \u2014 Tracking a dry morning commute for most of Jacksonville.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A few morning showers are possible along the coast as onshore winds increase.<\/li>\n<li>Highs today will be in the upper 80s to lower 90s inland and 80s along the coast.<\/li>\n<li>Moderate rip current risk at local beaches. <\/li>\n<li>Scattered showers and storms will develop between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. this afternoon, primarily inland.<\/li>\n<li>Heavy rain and lightning are the primary threats.<\/li>\n<li>A few showers are possible along the coast tomorrow morning.<\/li>\n<li>Showers and storms will continue to develop and spread inland through the afternoon on Friday.<\/li>\n<li>Highs will remain in the upper 80s through the weekend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 jsuuLb body-paragraph\"><b>TROPICS<\/b>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>(1) tropical storm \u201cDexter\u201d is over the open N. Atlantic with no impact to land areas &amp; will soon become a strong ocean storm.<\/li>\n<li>(2) low pressure is forecast to develop east &amp; northeast of Jacksonville by Friday then move north\/northwest toward the Carolina\u2019s over the weekend then turn more northeast away from the coast. It doesn\u2019t appear this will be a strong system but will produce rip currents at the beaches &amp; pockets of heavy rain \u2013 especially for the Carolina\u2019s to Virginia.<\/li>\n<li>(3) a tropical wave over the far East Atlantic has long term potential while moving some semblance of west.<\/li>\n<li>(4) Another wave will emerge off the coast of Africa &amp; has long term potential.
