\n He said he and other combat medics responded. \u201cWe rendered aid to those individuals, and shortly after, EMS arrived and continued their jobs,\u201d he said.\n <\/p>\n
\n The gunshots were being fired by a fellow service member, but Arnold said he didn\u2019t think about that in the moment.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cYou don\u2019t really know how to process that in that moment,\u201d Arnold said, adding that he instead focused on taking care of the people around him.\n <\/p>\n
\n In the aftermath of the attack, Arnold said he\u2019s focused on helping his fellow soldiers.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cOf course, friends were shot.
