Dallas-based Advanced Process Systems\u2014formerly known as Advanced Plastic Services\u2014has been acquired by Provest Equity Partners, an Atlanta-based private equity firm specializing in infrastructure and industrial sector investments.<\/strong><\/p>\n APS is a precision manufacturing company serving the semiconductor and energy industries with highly engineered solutions and process equipment.<\/p>\n Terms of the deal, which closed July 31, were not disclosed.<\/p>\n \u201cOver the years, we\u2019ve built trusted partnerships with some of the most respected names in the semiconductor and industrial sectors,\u201d APS founder Phillip Pulliam said in a statement. \u201cI\u2019m confident that with Provest\u2019s vision, resources, and operational expertise, APS is well-positioned to accelerate its growth and continue delivering best-in-class solutions to our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n The acquisition marks the first platform investment for Provest, founded by Managing Partner Suhas Uppalapati and Partner Kerry Byler, both veteran entrepreneurs and investors known for their operational expertise and track record of building category-leading businesses. Uppalapati and Byler previously were the driving force behind AmeriPro Health, a high-growth healthcare company they scaled into a national leader before a successful exit.<\/p>\n \u201cAPS represents exactly the type of high-potential industrial platform we set out to acquire when we launched Provest Equity Partners,\u201d Uppalapati said in a statement. \u201cWith the global demand for semiconductor and energy sectors accelerating, we see tremendous opportunity to invest in APS\u2019s next phase of growth, leveraging our operational experience and long-term vision.\u201d<\/p>\n Byler said the acquisition is a strong fit.<\/p>\n \u201cOur team is excited to work alongside APS\u2019s talented employees and leadership,\u201d Byler said. \u201cWe believe our hands-on approach and strategic investment philosophy will help scale APS\u2019s capabilities, expand its customer base, and unlock new market opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n APS counts some of the world\u2019s most innovative semiconductor companies among its customers.
