As another Dallas Cowboys<\/a> offseason continues, another star player awaits an extension.<\/p>\n

Last year, the biggest talking points in Dallas surrounded the contract statuses of Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.<\/a> Both weapons will remain Cowboys for the foreseeable future, but now another playmaker wants a new deal.<\/p>\n

Micah Parsons<\/a> is looking to become one of the NFL\u2019s highest-paid defenders. He has dominated in multiple ways throughout his Dallas tenure, making his mark as one of the league\u2019s best young defenders.<\/p>\n

As of June, Parsons\u2019 wait continues.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at the players with the 10 largest contracts on Dallas\u2019 roster ahead of the 2025 season, per overthecap.com<\/a>:<\/p>\n

1. QB Dak Prescott<\/p>\n

Current total contract value:<\/b> $240 million<\/p>\n

2025 salary cap number:<\/b> $50.5 million<\/p>\n

Prescott endured a long wait for his new deal. It didn\u2019t come to fruition until a few hours before Dallas\u2019 season opener against the Cleveland Browns. A four-year, $240 million extension<\/a> made Prescott the highest-paid player in NFL history.<\/p>\n

The team restructured Prescott\u2019s contract to create some cap space ahead of the 2025 season. Prescott\u2019s cap number currently sits at $50.5 million.<\/a><\/p>\n

2. WR CeeDee Lamb<\/p>\n

Current total contract value:<\/b> $136 million<\/p>\n

2025 salary cap number:<\/b> $15.3 million<\/p>\n

Lamb\u2019s wait for a new contract was also pretty long. The star receiver held out of 2024 training camp, returning to the squad after a new agreement was reached. Dallas signed Lamb to a four-year extension worth $136 million.<\/p>\n

Like Prescott, Lamb saw his contract restructured ahead of the 2025 campaign. His cap number sits at $15.3 million.<\/a><\/p>\n

3. CB Trevon Diggs<\/p>\n

Current total contract value:<\/b> $97 million<\/p>\n

2025 salary cap number:<\/b> $12.5 million<\/p>\n

The Cowboys signed Diggs to a five-year, $97 million extension in 2023.<\/a> The 2025 season will be his second under that deal. At the time, his annual average of $19.4 million was tied for fifth-highest among NFL cornerbacks.<\/p>\n

Diggs, who is recovering from knee surgery, has a $12.5 million cap number this year.<\/a><\/p>\n

4. RT Terence Steele<\/p>\n

Current total contract value:<\/b> $86.8 million<\/p>\n

2025 salary cap number:<\/b> $18.1 million<\/p>\n

Steele worked his way up from undrafted free agent to starting right tackle. The Cowboys secured Steele\u2019s services long-term in 2023, signing him to a five-year extension worth $86.8 million.<\/a><\/p>\n

His cap number for 2025 comes in at $18.1 million.<\/a><\/p>\n

5. DT Osa Odighizuwa<\/p>\n

Current total contract value:<\/b> $80 million<\/p>\n

2025 salary cap number:<\/b> $6.2 million<\/p>\n

In a somewhat rare move, the Cowboys devoted major financial resources to a defensive tackle this offseason. It turns out Odighizuwa\u2019s new deal is also team-friendly.<\/p>\n

The Cowboys signed Odighizuwa to a new four-year deal worth $80 million.<\/a> His cap number for 2025 comes in around $6.2 million.<\/a><\/p>\n

6. OG Tyler Booker<\/p>\n

Current total contract value:<\/b> $22.5 million<\/p>\n

2025 salary cap number:<\/b> $4.1 million<\/p>\n

The No. 12 overall pick in the 2025 draft has signed his first deal in Dallas. Booker signed a four-year deal worth $22.5 million<\/a> shortly after he was selected by the Cowboys.<\/p>\n

He has a cap number of $4.1 million.<\/p>\n

7. S Malik Hooker<\/p>\n

Current total contract value:<\/b> $24 million<\/p>\n

2025 salary cap number:<\/b> $7.7 million<\/p>\n

Hooker is one of the key veterans on Dallas\u2019 secondary. The team made sure Hooker would stick around for the foreseeable future in 2023, signing him to a three-year extension worth up to $24 million.<\/a><\/p>\n

He has the seventh-highest cap number on the Cowboys\u2019 roster in 2025, clocking in at $7.7 million.<\/a><\/p>\n

8. S Donovan Wilson<\/p>\n

Current total contract value:<\/b> $21 million<\/p>\n

2025 salary cap number:<\/b> $8.6 million<\/p>\n

Wilson is another pivotal part of the Cowboys\u2019 secondary, lining up alongside Hooker. The Texas A&M product agreed to a three-year, $21 million contract extension with the Cowboys in 2023.<\/p>\n

Wilson has the sixth-highest cap number on the Cowboys\u2019 roster for the 2025 season at $8.6 million.<\/a><\/p>\n

9. DE Micah Parsons<\/p>\n

Current total contract value:<\/b> $17 million<\/p>\n

2025 salary cap number:<\/b> $24 million<\/p>\n

Parsons is one of the most important players on the Cowboys\u2019 roster. He wants to be paid like one of the NFL\u2019s highest-paid defenders.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s expected to ask for a $200 million contract extension<\/a> that would become a record for a non-quarterback. Parsons notably attended all three days of the team\u2019s mandatory minicamp in June. Will he be in Oxnard for training camp?<\/p>\n

The Cowboys picked up Parsons\u2019 fifth-year option last offseason. That means he\u2019s currently set to be paid just over $24 million<\/a> in 2025.<\/p>\n

10. LB Kenneth Murray Jr.<\/p>\n

Current total contract value:<\/b> $15.5 million<\/p>\n

2025 salary cap number:<\/b> $7.4 million<\/p>\n

Murray is set to play his first season in Dallas. The Cowboys acquired the former Oklahoma linebacker through a trade with the Tennessee Titans<\/a> over the offseason.<\/p>\n

His cap number currently sits at $7.4 million.<\/a><\/p>\n

What about WR George Pickens?<\/p>\n

Pickens will be an interesting name to watch during the 2025 season. The Cowboys acquired him through a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers and he\u2019s currently set to make $3.6 million this year.<\/a><\/p>\n

Shortly after he was traded, Pickens told reporters he was focused on the present and wasn\u2019t thinking about a contract extension yet.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m kind of where my feet are right now,\u201d he said. \u201cTo be honest, I\u2019m not really thinking about contracts. I\u2019m just glad to be here at Cowboys right now and trying to build a winning culture.\u201d<\/p>\n
