The “Me & U” singer returned to Instagram Aug. 7, nearly three months after giving birth<\/a> to her and husband Alex Fine<\/strong>‘s third baby, as well as testifying in Sean “Diddy” Combs<\/strong><\/a>‘ federal trial.<\/p>\n

On her Instagram Stories, she re-shared a video of a man taking solemn pauses from dancing from the @momswithplans page<\/a>, which read in the caption, “When your old self slowly starts coming out postpartum.”<\/p>\n

Ventura added in the comments, “Factual. Little by little. lol.”<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old welcomed a son on May 27, nine days after she took the stand at a New York City courtroom to recount her decade-long, on-and-off relationship with Combs.<\/p>\n

During the trial, Ventura accused Combs of forcing her to participate in drug-filled sex parties<\/a> known as “freak offs<\/a>” with hired escorts, alleging that the rapper threatened to release footage from past sexual encounters should she refuse.<\/p>\n

“Sean controlled a lot of my life,” she testified in court<\/a> on May 13, according to NBC News, “whether it was career, sex, everything.”<\/p>\n

When Ventura ended her testimony on May 16, her husband praised her “strength and bravery”<\/a> in facing Combs while nine months pregnant. Upon hearing that he was acquitted on three of the five charges in his federal court case, Combs\u2014who faced life in prison if convicted on all charges\u2014got on his knees and placed his head down in a chair, in a prayer-like position, according to NBC News<\/a> reporters in the courtroom.<\/p>\n

Per the news organization, Combs’ family stood in the courtroom, clapping and cheering for the music mogul’s fate. The defense attorneys hugged each other, while Combs hugged lawyer Brian Steel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Jurors Reach a Verdict in Sean “Diddy” Combs Sex Trafficking Case<\/p>\n

On July 2, the 12-member jury delivered their verdicts on the five federal charges Combs faced in his sex trafficking trial. The jurors, who were on their third day of deliberation, found him guilty of two charges of transportation to engage in prostitution, relating to ex-girlfriends Ventura and a woman referred to as “Jane.”<\/p>\n

Combs\u2014who had pleaded not guilty to all charges\u2014was found not guilty of one count of racketeering conspiracy and two counts of sex trafficking.<\/p>\n

The day before delivering their verdicts, the jury told U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian<\/strong> they were unable to reach a consensus on the racketeering charge due to \u201cunpersuadable views.\u201d Subramanian addressed the jurors and encouraged them to continue their deliberations. A verdict was reached hours after deliberations began the next day.<\/p>\n

Prosecutors Conclude With Nearly Five-Hour Closing Arguments<\/p>\n

Prosecutor Christy Slavik<\/strong> spent four hours and 50 minutes delivering closing remarks to jurors, in which she argued that Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs<\/strong><\/a> \u201cused power, violence and fear to get what he wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe doesn\u2019t take no for an answer,\u201d she said. \u201cIt was his kingdom. Everyone was there to serve him.\u201d <\/p>\n

Slavik pointed to Combs\u2019 2016 physical assault of his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura<\/strong><\/a> and a 2024 alleged assault of his then-girlfriend, who has been going by \u201cJane<\/strong>\u201d for the trial.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese two incidents are separated by eight years, but they’re not separate stories,\u201d she said. \u201cThey’re chapters in the same book, the story of Sean Combs and the criminal enterprise he led made up of his inner circle.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAgain and again, that criminal enterprise serviced the defendant’s every desire through a methodical pattern of violence, coercion and manipulation,\u201d she continued. \u201cThe defendant counted on silence and shame to keep his crimes hidden. He thought that his fame, wealth and power put him above the law.\u201d<\/p>\n

Slavik argued that this trial Combs had the help of what she described as a \u201ca small army of personal staff, who made it their mission to meet the defendant’s every desire, promote his power and protect his reputation at all costs.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prosecutors Seek to Streamline Charges Against Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs<\/p>\n

The prosecution submitted a filing to court, in which they requested to amend parts of their theories<\/a> of attempted arson and kidnapping.<\/p>\n

Although Combs is still facing the same racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking counts\u2014which include the kidnapping and arson allegations\u2014prosecutors wrote in the June 24 letter they had \u201cremoved instructions from the charge relating to attempted kidnapping under both California and New York law, attempted arson under California law, and aiding and abetting sex trafficking.\u201d<\/p>\n

The government added that it \u201chopes\u201d simplifying the language \u201cnot only serves the purposes of streamlining the instructions but also will avoid any confusion.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs Confirms He Won\u2019t Be Testifying<\/p>\n

Combs told Judge Subramanian that he will not take the stand <\/a>during his sex trafficking trial.<\/p>\n

The judge emphasized that regardless of the rap mogul\u2019s decision, \u201cno one, including the jury, could draw any inference or suggestion of your guilt from the fact that you did not testify.\u201d<\/p>\n

Combs, who confirmed that he spoke with his team about not testifying, emphasized that this was \u201csolely\u201d his decision.<\/p>\n

“We have discussed it thoroughly, that is my decision,” he said to the judge. “That is totally my decision, I am making it.”<\/p>\n

Defense Shares Estimation on Closing Arguments<\/p>\n

Combs\u2019 team shared that they will not be moving forward with any witnesses and will instead focus on entered evidence.<\/p>\n

Juror Sees Apparent Footage From \u201cFreak Offs\u201d<\/p>\n

During Ceriello\u2019s testimony June 23, the jury was shown explicit videos\u2014which, according to NBC News reporters in the courtroom, appeared to be from Combs\u2019 \u201cfreak offs\u201d\u2014that were entered into evidence.<\/p>\n

While the special agent noted there were 50 explicit videos from 2021 and 2022, jurors were shown two files using headphones and screens.<\/p>\n

Hotel Rooms Were Stocked With Baby Oil, Plan-B Pills For \u201cFreak Offs\u201d<\/p>\n

In voicemails to his former chief of staff Kristina Khorram <\/strong>played June 23, Combs detailed a specific list of requests while staying at a hotel in November 2021, including a restock on baby oil\u2014which he regularly used during \u201cfreak offs.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTell them to call me before they are on the way,\u201d he said to Khorram. \u201cCan\u2019t believe I\u2019m out. Put 20 bottles in this motherf–ker.\u201d<\/p>\n

Along with Khorram extending the hotel visit for an additional day, she replied, \u201cOK. The baby oil is outside the door.\u201d<\/p>\n

In text messages, his former employee texted that she was preparing an IV drip for him and Jane, which he used as part of at least one \u201cfreak off\u201d recovery, according to the group text messages.<\/p>\n

She also made sure that there were Plan-B pills, an emergency contraceptive, in his nightstand.<\/p>\n

Cassie Ventura and Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs\u2019s Texts About His Alleged Abuse Revealed<\/p>\n

Jurors were shown a series of text messages between Combs and Ventura, during which the \u201cLong Way 2 Go\u201d singer candidly detailed the toll his alleged abuse was taking on her. <\/p>\n

After Combs asked whether Ventura, whom he dated on and off from 2007 to 2018, wanted to take a break in March 2017, she replied, \u201cNo. I just don’t want to be beat down for being defiant or ever. You treat me and make me feel like I don’t matter.”<\/p>\n

In another instance, she further accused her ex of physically assaulting her. <\/p>\n

\u201cI give you love, and as soon as I turn my head for a second and you get fucked up, you drag me down the hall by my hair. I’m 30 years old,\u201d Ventura wrote to him that May. \u201cThis isn’t play anymore. I felt like I was dead last night and it wasn’t happening to me bc seeing my light was so beautiful.”<\/p>\n

Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs\u2019 Former Assistant Denies Being Drug Mule But Says He Bought Thousands of Dollars in Drugs for the Rapper<\/p>\n

Combs\u2019 former assistant Brendan Paul<\/strong>\u2014whom he employed from 2022 to 2024\u2014testified that he had purchased drugs for his boss on multiple occasions, including \u201cMarijuana, 2C, cocaine, ketamine, ecstasy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe would text the drug dealer and then the drug dealer would come to either of the homes,\u201d Paul\u2014who also recalled being fired multiple times for varying offenses<\/a>, including forgetting a Lululemon fanny pack\u2014said of the process. \u201cI was introduced to them either through texts or phone calls.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Paul vehemently denied being a \u201cdrug mule\u201d for the rap mogul.<\/p>\n

Judge Cancels Court on Day 26 of Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs Trial Over Sick Juror<\/p>\n

Judge Subramanian adjourned the courtroom for the day on June 18 after a member of the main jury did not return due to illness. (Court is not in session on June 19 for Juneteenth.) <\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a sick juror who cannot be here and had vertigo and had to turn back,\u201d the judge said. \u201cThe juror’s partner notified us. He is not here, and he is on the regular jury, so it appears we cannot go on today.\u201d<\/p>\n

The judge noted that it\u2019s unclear whether the juror\u2019s vertigo flare-up\u2014which causes dizziness, nausea, and headaches, along with other symptoms\u2014is temporary or a long-term issue, but would \u201cmonitor the situation.\u201d<\/p>\n

With court not in session June 19 for Juneteenth, Judge Subramanian said the trial would resume with a shortened session on June 20, running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.<\/p>\n

Second Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs Jury Member Faces Possible Dismissal<\/p>\n

Shortly after Judge Subramanian dismissed Juror No. 6 over conflicting answers as to his place of residence, a second member faces possible dismissal over an alleged improper conversation about the case with a former colleague. The member in question was questioned by the judge and handed his phone in for inspection, per NBC News.<\/p>\n

A decision had not been made as to the member\u2019s dismissal by the end of the court session on June 16.<\/p>\n

Kanye West Supports Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs With Courthouse Visit<\/p>\n

Kanye West<\/strong><\/a> arrived at the New York City courthouse June 13 in support of Combs. The \u201cStronger\u201d rapper, who was in the building for about 30 minutes, made a brief visit to the overflow area<\/a> but never entered the courtroom. The main room is reserved for Combs\u2019 family and legal team, as well as the media and spectators who wait in line for hours for a seat.<\/p>\n

Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs\u2019 Ex Says Mogul Was Upset After She Attended Another Man\u2019s \u201cFreak Off\u201d<\/p>\n

Jane recalled an argument between them after she went on a trip to Las Vegas with another rapper and his wife. <\/p>\n

She testified that it led to sexual voyeurism after she solicited Anton<\/strong>, a sex worker whom she and Combs often hired, where a group of people watched him have sex with a woman in a hotel room during the trip.<\/p>\n

Jane told Combs\u2019 attorney Geragos that the rap mogul was upset after accusing her of attending another man\u2019s \u201cfreak off.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prosecutors Seek Removal of Juror in Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs\u2019 Trial<\/p>\n

On day 21 of Combs’ trial, assistant U.S. attorney Maurene Comey<\/strong> shared her team is seeking to remove one of the 12 members of the jury.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were very reluctant to put in this letter,\u201d she told Judge Subramanian before the jury entered the New York City courtroom. \u201cIt appeared to be a lack of candor with the court that raises serious issues with us.\u201d <\/p>\n

Defense attorney Alexandra Shapiro<\/strong>\u2014who said that Juror No. 6 is among the panel\u2019s Black members\u2014asked for one or two days to \u201crespond in writing\u201d and \u201cgo over case law.\u201d<\/p>\n

In response, Judge Subramanian said he will \u201creserve on handling logistics\u201d about the juror until a decision is made. <\/p>\n

Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs\u2019 Ex Has Heated Exchange With Defense Team During Cross-Examination<\/p>\n

Jane and Garagos had a tense conversation June 10 as the latter insinuated the witness was having sex with men for luxury goods. <\/p>\n

Geragos went through text messages from November 2021 between Jane and Combs, in which the witness was upset that the rap mogul was having sex with other women. Per the texts, she asked Combs if he gave the other woman \u201ca Chanel bag\u201d after having sex.<\/p>\n

Jane said that she didn\u2019t get a Chanel purse from Combs, telling Garagos that she \u201cgot trauma.\u201d<\/p>\n

When the attorney asked what a Bottega bag was, she replied, \u201cI\u2019m sure you have one.\u201d<\/p>\n

And when Geragos asked how much the item costs, Jane asked, \u201cHow much does my body cost?\u201d<\/p>\n

Jane was granted a 10-minute break following the exchange.<\/p>\n

Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs\u2019 Ex Says She Wondered What Was \u201cDriving Him\u201d Sexually<\/p>\n

Jane testified that around 2022, she believed that Combs was a \u201ccuckhold,\u201d a person who finds pleasure in watching their partner be physically intimate with another person, after looking up her and Combs\u2019 sexual dynamic.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt gave me more of an understanding,\u201d she said of her reasoning for the research. \u201cI was just trying to deep dive on all the reasons why they had derived so much pleasure from watching their woman be with other men.\u201d<\/p>\n

The witness theorized that Combs\u2019 desire for \u201chotel nights,\u201d the details of which are nearly identical to Ventura’s \u201cfreak offs,\u201d was because he may be curious about his own sexuality.<\/p>\n

\u201cCucks could also have a real curiosity that they’re too ashamed to experience themselves,\u201d she testified, \u201cand so they use the woman to venture out in this curiosity without actually doing the act itself.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs\u2019 Ex Mentions Koby Bryant, Shaquille O\u2019Neil and Michael Jordan During Testimony<\/p>\n

Jane testified that she had nicknamed Paul<\/strong>\u2014an escort she and Combs solicited on multiple occasions\u2014\u201cTrifecta\u201d because she compared their sexual dynamic to the on-court success of basketball stars.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was Kobe Bryant<\/strong><\/a> and Paul was Shaq [O\u2019Neil]<\/strong><\/a>,\u201d she told jurors. \u201cCombs was Michael Jordan<\/strong><\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

She described Paul as \u201creally nice,\u201d noting that if she \u201chad to\u201d have sex with escorts, \u201cat least it was with someone with a warm energy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was always with him,\u201d Jane said of Khorram. \u201cIt was difficult for our relationship. I believe that she had very strong feelings about me, which influenced a great deal with how Sean treated me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Judge Denies Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs\u2019 Defense Team\u2019s Second Motion for a Mistrial<\/p>\n

On June 10, Judge Subramanian denied a motion for mistrial by Combs’ legal team, in which his attorneys argued that Ventura and her friend Bryana Bongolan<\/strong> lied about the latter being dangled over the 17th-floor balcony by the rap mogul. <\/p>\n

His lawyers, whose previous motion for a mistrial was also denied, accused the prosecution in the filing of \u201cmisconduct\u201d with the \u201cintroduction of perjured testimony.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIn this trial the government has presented testimony that it knew or should have known was materially false related to its allegation that Mr. Combs dangled Bryana Bongolan from the balcony of Cassie Ventura\u2019s apartment in September 2016,\u201d the letter said. \u201cAccordingly, to avoid an unfair conviction in this case the Court should grant a mistrial.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs\u2019 Ex Details Hourslong 2024 Beating<\/p>\n

Jane alleged that the rap mogul had beaten her for hours June 2024.<\/p>\n

Jane testified that she and Combs began arguing about the latter seeing a woman who was 25 years his junior, which Jane said led to her calling him a \u201cpedophile\u201d and pushing his head into a marble kitchen counter.<\/p>\n

The witness said she had hidden in the primary bedroom and Combs began kicking the door open. (Photos of the cracked door were entered into evidence.) She alleged that while trying to run away, the Bad Boy Records founder kicked her in the back of the thigh, which made her fall.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe put me in a chokehold on the ground, lifted me up, and I couldn’t breathe, and I was on my tippy toes,\u201d she told the prosecution. \u201cI was just trying to get out of his grip.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jane said she ran out of the house and hid behind a wall outside for approximately two hours, hoping he would leave, but he did not. She said they subsequently returned to his home, where she curled up in the backyard to protect herself as Combs allegedly attacked her.<\/p>\n

Sean \u201cDiddy\u201d Combs\u2019 Ex Says Attack By Rapper Left \u00a0Her \u201cGolfball-sized\u201d Welts<\/p>\n

According to Jane, the altercation escalated after Combs allegedly punched her back. \u201cHe started punching my head,\u201d she told the court. \u201cHe started kicking me. He started saying all kinds of things and just kept punching.\u201d<\/p>\n

She alleged that he told her that she was \u201ctrying to take him away from his kids and his family.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cI said, \u2018No, I’m not. Just leave me alone. Just leave. Please stop,\u2019\u201d she testified. \u201cThen he just grabs me by my arm and my hair and just starts dragging me back to the house \u2026 by my hair, by my arm.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the alleged assault, Jane said she saw \u201ctwo golfball-sized welts\u201d on her forehead, as well as a black eye.<\/p>\n
