Offset is not playing when it comes to protecting his family, including ex-wife Cardi B<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As the Migos rapper gears up for his upcoming album, Kiari (the rapper\u2019s birth name), he shared whether he was caught off guard by the \u201cUp\u201d rapper\u2019s latest single, \u201cOutside,\u201d<\/a> and if he would be discussing his past relationship with her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI actually knew about the song before the song come out prior to the bulls\u2014t \u2026 If it is stuff at me,\u201d he said on Joe Budden\u2019s eponymous podcast. \u201cEverything be a timing thing. That record\u2019s been done. I know about the record. It look like how it look. At the same time, All Eyez on Me, 2Pac.\u201d<\/p>\n

Many fans thought that Cardi threw some shots at Offset in the song with the lines: \u201cI been cuffed up too long (Side), let me remind n*****s (Yeah)\u201d which Cardi repeats in the hook seemingly referring to her marriage to Offset since 2017. Cardi filed for divorce for the second time in 2024.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, let\u2019s go wrong for wrong (What?), let\u2019s go lick for lick (Let\u2019s go),\u201d she raps in the song, which fans interpreted as Offset\u2019s infidelity allegations throughout their marriage.<\/p>\n

As for Offset\u2019s new project, he shared that he is not trashing his relationship with the Grammy winner on it.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s therapy. I ain\u2019t doing that on the album. The shots, I ain\u2019t doing that,\u201d he claimed. \u201cI might speak on life situations, but I\u2019m not doing that. That ain\u2019t the way to do it. There\u2019s too much involved, family, kids. That s\u2014t gonna be lame 10 years from now. I ain\u2019t on that, but I\u2019ll be expressing some feelings of how I feel about certain things.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kiari will have 18 tracks including guest appearances from Key Glock, Gunna, JID, YFN Lucci, Ty Dolla $ign, and Teezo Touchdown.<\/p>\n

Offset seemingly shades Cardi B and Stefon Diggs\"\"<\/p>\n

Earlier in the episode, Offset seemingly through some shade at Cardi B and Stefon Diggs<\/a> whom she\u2019s been dating since their split. Budden asked Offset what would be worse for your ex to \u201cdate up\u201d or to \u201cdate below\u201d you. Offset\u00a0responded<\/a>\u00a0by saying he\u2019s had neither happen to him, so he\u2019s unsure how that feels.<\/p>\n

The answer seemingly was looked at as shade since Cardi has a new man in her life. Romance rumors between she and Diggs started in the fall of 2024 but the rapper made it official on Instagram in June.<\/a> They still have been going strong despite breakup rumors.<\/a> Cardi has been open about her relationship struggles prior to Diggs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think people\u00a0understand how tired I was.<\/a> How tired, how mentally drained I was,\u201d she told her fans on X last month seemingly speaking on her relationship with Offset. \u201cDrained, drained, drained. Couldn\u2019t eat. I was getting frequent headaches. I was literally losing my mind.\u201d<\/p>\n

While dating is a new for the rapper she is making the best of her time with the New England Patriots star.<\/p>\n

\u201cDating is new to me,\u201d and \u201cit took a long time for me to open up to somebody,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Kiari is set to drop on Aug. 22.<\/p>\n
