And just like that, HBO Max\u2019s Sex and the City sequel series returns for its third season. And Just Like That…<\/a> brings back our long-time New Yorkers Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis), as well as relative newcomers Seema (Sarita Choudhury) and Lisa (Nicole Ari Parker), to our televisions and laptops. What is summer without our gals talking candidly about sex, making bad puns, and dining and drinking around the city?<\/p>\n

Like previous<\/a> seasons<\/a>, Eater will be tracking<\/a> where the gang is eating across New York City, from brunch sessions to romantic dinners to cocktail dates. This guide will be updated weekly when each episode airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m., leading up to the finale. And we\u2019re saying it now: there will be spoilers ahead.<\/p>\n

Episode 11, \u201cForgot About the Boy \u201d<\/p>\n

Before we proceed: This will be our penultimate restaurant recap since And Just Like That… is, and just like that, ending<\/a>. Thanks for the memories and innuendos, the ladies of the Sex and the City sequel.<\/p>\n

And now, this second-to-last-ever episode of the series takes Carrie on a nostalgic and existential tour through her life. She\u2019s told people don\u2019t like women being alone, according to her book agent (which is very obvious foreshadowing of the finale\u2019s plot). She\u2019s also thinking about how she lives in a huge Gramercy Park house by herself and even goes to revisit her old Upper East Side apartment.<\/p>\n

For the life of me, I cannot figure out what this pie bakery is in New York City. My gut believes that it\u2019s an existing bakery with a different name (much like how Cafe Boulud was renamed<\/a> the fictional Pelican earlier this season). Alas, if any reader can help me figure it out, I\u2019ll eat a slice of pie in your honor.<\/p>\n

Anyway, Carrie is ordering a lot of pies for Thanksgiving \u2014 her go-to gift \u2014 including classic cherry, pecan, two pumpkins, lemon meringue, blueberry, apple crisp, chocolate cream, and, what she describes as later, a \u201cgluten-free something pretending to be a pie.\u201d A customer overhears and interrupts her, saying that she thought that pie orders were closed. The staffer responds, saying that Carrie can do anything she wants because she\u2019s a loyal customer and accuses the interrupter of being just a \u201ctwo croissants a week at best\u201d person.<\/p>\n

As Carrie walks away from the bakery, she talks to Miranda on the phone, who says that Carrie ordered way too many pies and that it\u2019s \u201ctwo people per pie.\u201d Carrie asks, \u201cIs that the incorrect pie-to-person ratio? I don\u2019t bake.\u201d The actual correct answer is one pie per person, because life is short.<\/p>\n

Seema really, really, really loves chef Angie Mar\u2019s upscale French restaurant \u2014 this is its third<\/a> appearance<\/a> this season. This time, she\u2019s back at the bar with Carrie, sipping cocktails. Seema wants to pay for drinks since she\u2019s backing out of the Thanksgiving dinner party at Miranda\u2019s, Carrie refuses to accept, and insists she\u2019ll pay. Seema complains about going to Thanksgiving with her hot gardener boyfriend Adam (they had just said \u201cI love you\u201d to each other) and his family, bemoaning that \u201cthey\u2019re vegan and gluten-free\u201d and that she\u2019s \u201cpassing up a delicious drumstick for Tofurkey.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now we\u2019re cued up for the series finale of And Just Like That\u2026 next week, which will presumably take place on Thanksgiving, full of pies and Harry\u2019s favorite focaccia-oyster-fresh sage stuffing he\u2019s fond of, apparently.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"And just like that, HBO Max\u2019s Sex and the City sequel series returns for its third season.
