{"id":129278,"date":"2025-08-08T14:37:09","date_gmt":"2025-08-08T14:37:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/129278\/"},"modified":"2025-08-08T14:37:09","modified_gmt":"2025-08-08T14:37:09","slug":"oregon-ducks-report-7-ncaa-secondary-violations-in-2024-25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/129278\/","title":{"rendered":"Oregon Ducks report 7 NCAA secondary violations in 2024-25"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"MOYQQ7T2D5GQLO337DZC2BUF64\">Three of Oregon\u2019s seven self-reported NCAA secondary violations in 2024-25 came from the track and field program.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"RX5MNYWCI5CSNE3IQJROPNMMLE\">It was the most secondary violations reported by UO since 2018-19, though football was involved in just one, according to records released to The Oregonian\/OregonLive in response to a public records request.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"G6536QKMS5AKPKHF6CIUSEKW4I\">The nature of the violation committed by the football program is redacted and not attributed to any individual of the staff, but notes the player involved was reinstated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"PP4EDE3NHRGB5NZU4HSDNZGLHQ\">An ineligible track athlete was allowed to compete before they were certified and a recruit on an official visit was allowed to contract professional athletes, which were attributed to assistant director for track operations Josh Seitz and assistant coach Brian Blutreich, respectively. A second violation was also attributed to Seitz, though it was redacted, and the athlete was reinstated in both cases.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__paragraph article__paragraph--left\" id=\"GYCRWGEXPJBK7G466ZCOSHXP4E\">A baseball recruit was contacted early due to a data entry, which was attributed to director of player development Brett Thomas.
