CBS anchor Nate Burleson said on Thursday that late-night host\u00a0Stephen Colbert<\/a>, whose show will end in May, was an \u201cequal opportunist\u201d when it came to making jokes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Burleson\u2019s fellow co-hosts Gayle King and Vladimir Duthiers agreed with Burleson as he said, \u201cOne thing we love about Colbert, he\u2019s an equal opportunist when it comes to cracking jokes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Colbert\u2019s monologue on Thursday included a jab at former President Joe Biden, as he imitated the former president volunteering to be an ICE agent<\/a> in reaction to news that the Trump administration had\u00a0ended the age cap\u00a0for ICE agents.<\/p>\n

\u201cI need a job, Jack! Put Joe back in the game, I need a job, Jack. Put me in, Coach. I\u2019ll kick some a\u2013. Here we go, there you go, take that, take this. Now watch me nay-nay. Jill! Jill, I got a job!\u201d Colbert joked, imitating Biden, taking aim at his age.<\/p>\n

Colbert, who has\u00a0helped raise money for Biden<\/a>, did not ask former Vice President Kamala Harris about the former president\u2019s decline while in office during her first interview since her failed bid for the presidency.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Colbert remained a supporter of Biden throughout his presidency, though occasionally making fun of the president\u2019s age, and has overwhelmingly welcomed liberal lawmakers and media personalities on his show.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The liberal late-night host\u2019s show is set to end in May, as CBS cited financial reasons for ending the program.<\/p>\n

Since his show was canceled, Colbert has interviewed Harris, former Labor Secretary Robert Reich, Gov. JB Pritzker of Illinois, Gov. Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania, Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.).<\/p>\n

\u201cCBS Mornings\u201d host Nate Burleson called Colbert an \u201cequal opportunist\u201d when it comes to cracking jokes. CBS News<\/p>\n

At least 200 episodes of Colbert\u2019s show have featured\u00a0members of the liberal media.<\/a><\/p>\n

Colbert\u2019s monologues have mostly been focused on\u00a0critiques of President Trump,<\/a> members of his administration, and other top news stories of the day.<\/p>\n

He has also criticized his parent company, Paramount, for settling with Trump in a lawsuit that stemmed from a \u201c60 Minutes\u201d interview.\u00a0<\/p>\n
