A Dallas man was convicted earlier this week on federal drug trafficking charges.<\/p>\n

Deldrick Damond Lewis, 40, was found guilty Wednesday by a jury of conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lewis supplied methamphetamine in the Grayson County area, according to a news release from the U.S. Eastern District of Texas, which said Lewis sold approximately 490 grams of the drug during one transaction. <\/p>\n

Evidence gathered and presented during the three-day trial included Lewis\u2019 social media accounts, text messages and other information from his cellphones.<\/p>\n

Lewis could face up to life in federal prison, based on the statutory maximum sentence. According to court documents, a sentencing hearing for Lewis will be scheduled once the U.S. Probation Office\u2019s presentence investigation is complete.<\/p>\n

The Dallas Morning News reached out to Lewis\u2019s attorneys for comment, but did not receive a response.<\/p>\n

The FBI, Texoma Narcotics and Violent Crime Task Force, Grayson County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Sherman Police Department and the Dallas Police Department SWAT Team all investigated this case. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A Dallas man was convicted earlier this week on federal drug trafficking charges.
