Phase 1 widened the street by filling in the runoff ditches and adding sidewalks on both sides and building a middle turning lane. The project had a two-year timeline, but was finished in 15 months.<\/li>\n<li>Phase 2 started construction in July. The project includes installation of a three-lane undivided concrete pavement section from Park Vista Boulevard to Lauren Way.\u00a0 Improvements include: street lights, 10-foot sidewalks, traffic signal at Woodland Springs Drive, and stormwater drainage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The east-west Keller Hicks relieves heavy traffic. The two-way, two-lane road has drainage ditches on the north and south sides and isn\u2019t pedestrian-friendly.<\/p>\n<p>At the meeting, Mitch Alton of the Fort Worth city staff,\u00a0 told residents that Phase 2 has a two-year timeline, but he said he was optimistic the work wouldn\u2019t take that long.<\/p>\n<p>Some audience members expressed concern over filling in the drainage ditches.
