Bailey, once projected to go off the board with the No. 2 or 3 pick, could drop a few notches after his unconventional pre-draft approach.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Wizards<\/strong>, according to the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.inquirer.com\/sixers\/sixers-nba-draft-ace-bailey-vj-edgecombe-washington-wizards--20250624.html?utm_source=t.co&amp;utm_campaign=edit_social_share_twitter_traffic&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_content=&amp;utm_term=&amp;int_promo=\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Philadelphia Inquirer\u2019s Keith Pompey<\/a>, are hoping that\u2019s the case. Sources told Pompey that the Wizards want to select the Rutgers freshman with the sixth pick. Washington hopes that Bailey\u2019s refusal to work out for teams during the pre-draft process will cause to him to fall out of the top five.<\/p>\n<p>Bailey canceled his pre-draft workout with the <strong>Sixers<\/strong> after they wouldn\u2019t commit to selecting him third overall.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s more draft-related info:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/tre-johnson-2.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-06-24_cbb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Tre Johnson<\/a><\/strong>, a top 10 prospect, has worked out for the <strong>Hornets<\/strong>, <strong>Jazz<\/strong>, <strong>Wizards<\/strong> and <strong>Nets,<\/strong> Brian Lewis of the New York Post <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NYPost_Lewis\/status\/1937585135022408094\" rel=\"nofollow\">tweets<\/a>. Johnson, a one-and-done who averaged 19.9 points for Texas in his lone college season, is ranked No. 5 on ESPN\u2019s Best Available list.<\/li>\n<li>In their latest mock draft, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nba\/story\/_\/id\/45559441\/2025-nba-mock-draft-latest-first-second-round-predictions-all-59-picks\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">ESPN\u2019s Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo<\/a> have moved Duke center <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/khaman-maluach-1.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-06-24_cbb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Khaman Maluach<\/a><\/strong> into the No. 7 slot, where the Pelicans sit. New Orleans agreed to trade <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/o\/olynyke01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-06-24_bbr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Kelly Olynyk<\/a><\/strong> to the Wizards and are in need of more size. The Suns, who acquired the No. 10 pick from the Rockets, are now projected to select Arizona forward <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/carter-bryant-1.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-06-24_cbb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Carter Bryant<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The<strong> Jazz<\/strong> currently have four picks in the draft, including the No. 5 selection. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sltrib.com\/sports\/jazz\/2025\/06\/24\/utah-jazz-nba-draft-predictions\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Andy Larsen of the Salt Lake Tribune<\/a> gives his preferred selections at each spot in a subscriber-only story. He\u2019s hoping Baylor\u2019s <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/players\/vj-edgecombe-1.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.hoopsrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-06-24_cbb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">V.J. Edgecombe<\/a><\/strong> slips to that spot but more likely the Jazz will wind up with Johnson.<\/li>\n<li>Multiple league sources confirmed to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nba\/josh-lewenberg-toronto-raptors-keeping-options-open-going-into-draft-week-1.2326232\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">TSN\u2019s Josh Lewenberg<\/a> that the No. 9 pick held by the <strong>Raptors<\/strong> is available.
