When asked how she keeps her children from getting tempted by junk food, the \u2018PK\u2019 actress said, \u201cThis was a hard one. Your kid is two, and if it is your firstborn, then it\u2019s kind of easier because they haven\u2019t been to that many birthday parties. They don\u2019t know that cake exists and there is pizza in the world. You create this nice little bubble for them. You are fooling them well (chuckles). And then they start seeing things; \u2018Oh! Wait a minute, what is that woman not been showing me?\u2019 So, I am going through that with my daughter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Turning healthy eating into a fun story<\/p>\n

The \u2018Sultan\u2019 actress explained that she tries to make the idea of eating healthy sound interesting for her daughter. She said, \u201cI think the only way I have managed to, and I am still trying, is that I do explain it to her. I tell her that there are some foods that give us energy so you can play and do different things. Some food gives that to us very quickly and then we have no energy left to do other things. Other foods give us energy in a way that we can keep playing\u2026 I make it sound more interesting than I am making it to you guys right now. But I feel like she doesn\u2019t buy most of the times, she is like, \u2018Whatever, just give it!\u2019 I also pick days and give a very lengthy explanations, which I try to make fun. I bring out the actress in me\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

A sweet lesson at an ice-cream museum<\/p>\n

The \u2018Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi\u2019 actress recalled taking Vamika to an ice-cream museum in Singapore, expecting her to go all out. But her daughter surprised her. \u201cI took her to an ice cream museum because she loves ice cream. She is obsessed. There, I told her, \u2018Eat as much as you want\u2019. She didn\u2019t eat that much. So, I think when you inculcate the right kind of habits in the beginning, they don\u2019t stuff themselves with 10 ice creams. She must have had two, and then she was like, \u2018I am done.\u2019 So if you inculcate the right habits in the beginning, they\u2019ll make the right choice,\u201d concluded Anushka.On the work front, Anushka was last seen in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer \u2018Zero\u2019 in 2018 before taking a break from films. She made a brief but delightful appearance in the 2022 OTT film \u2018Qala\u2019 in the song \u2018Ghodey Pe Sawaar\u2019.
