The San Diego Museum of Art and MOPA@SDMA are rolling out an impressive photography lineup that\u2019s got us genuinely excited about spending more time in Balboa Park. <\/p>\n

Two new exhibitions opening this month showcase everything from mid-20th-century American photography to the gritty beauty of California<\/a> through European eyes.<\/p>\n

Mid-Century Photography Gets Its Due<\/p>\n

\u201cShifting Visions: Photographs from the Collection of Ken and Jacki Widder<\/a>\u201d is now open at MOPA@SDMA and promises to be a comprehensive dive into how photographers shaped our perception of modern culture. <\/p>\n

The collection spans photojournalism, architectural studies, and works that push toward abstraction\u2014basically everything that made mid-20th-century photography so dynamic and influential.<\/p>\n
