That figure matches the top speed of chip-maker Micron\u2019s 1\u03b3 (1-gamma) LPDDR5X, <a href=\"https:\/\/investors.micron.com\/news-releases\/news-release-details\/micron-ships-worlds-first-1g-1-gamma-based-lpddr5x-enabling-rich\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced in June<\/a>, which also promises up to 20% better power efficiency than the company\u2019s last generation. The specific top speed and timing make it likely this is the chip behind the leak.<\/p>\n<p>That would be a step up from the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which never disclosed an official RAM speed but was <a href=\"https:\/\/investors.micron.com\/news-releases\/news-release-details\/fueled-micron-mobile-solutions-samsung-galaxy-s25-series-raises\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">confirmed by Micron<\/a> to use its 1\u03b2 (1-beta) LPDDR5X. That chip is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.micron.com\/about\/press\/news\/microns-memory-and-storage-supported-on-qualcomms?a=a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rated for up to 9.6 Gbps<\/a>, so even if the S25 Ultra pushed that top speed, the jump from 9.6 Gbps to 10.7 Gbps works out to an 11.5% bandwidth increase, along with the extra efficiency gains of the 1\u03b3 design.<\/p>\n<p>This is great news for power users. More bandwidth means the phone\u2019s processor can move data in and out of memory more quickly, which can help with demanding tasks like 8K video capture, high-frame-rate gaming, and running AI features directly on the device.
