JACKSONVILLE, Fla. <\/strong> \u2013 The wait is finally over. Professional football in Jacksonville is back. <\/p>\n

On Saturday, the Jacksonville Jaguars are slated to ditch the practice gear in exchange for some real uniforms before taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers at EverBank Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. <\/p>\n

The matchup marks the Jags\u2019 only home preseason game this season, with the other two taking place in New Orleans against the Saints (Aug. 17) and an in-state battle down south against the Miami Dolphins (Aug. 23). <\/p>\n

For fans planning on attending the game, here\u2019s what you need to know. <\/p>\n

Stadium of the Future construction\/Parking<\/p>\n

Construction is underway on the team\u2019s 2028 home,<\/a> which will likely impact traffic patterns in the area. <\/p>\n

Fans are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early as parking lots open four hours prior to kickoff (3 p.m.), the team said. <\/p>\n

\u201cGuests in general admission seating should access the main concourse for full 360-degree circulation around the stadium, as the plaza level is no longer continuous from gate to gate,\u201d the team said. <\/p>\n

\u201cSome gate entries have been adjusted so it is essential for ticket holders to view the recommended gate entry on their mobile ticket for each game to access the most direct route to a seat location. Guests should exit at the gate closest to their transportation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Specific directions to each parking lot and additional parking information can be found here<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Additionally, mobile parking passes should be downloaded and saved prior to arrival to be easily scanned upon entry to assigned parking lots.<\/p>\n

What can I bring into the game?<\/p>\n

Beginning this season, fans are allowed to bring two (2) commercially branded, factory-sealed, plastic, 16.9 oz or less-sized bottles of water. Complimentary cups are also available at all guest services booths to use at stadium water fountains. <\/p>\n

Fans are also asked to follow the NFL\u2019s clear bag policy, which EverBank Stadium adheres to.<\/p>\n

\u201cFans are encouraged to leave all bags at home, but, if one is necessary, it should be either a clear bag no larger than 12\u201d x 6\u201d x 12\u201d or a non-clear bag no larger than 4.5\u201d x 6.5,” the team said. <\/p>\n

Non-clear belt bags and fanny packs are prohibited. Umbrellas and drones are also prohibited items. <\/p>\n

A reminder that cash is also not accepted anywhere in the stadium. Apple, Google, and Samsung Pay are all accepted. <\/p>\n

What will I see at the game?<\/p>\n

Once all gates and areas open at 5 p.m., the first DUUUUVAL will be delivered about 20 minutes before kickoff by Laval Davis, a Jacksonville native and member of the U.S. Men\u2019s National Flag Football team that won gold medals in 2023 and 2024 at the IFAF Americas Continental Flag Football Championship.<\/p>\n

That will be followed by a D-Line performance and THE ROAR of the Jaguars performance, before the team begins its introductions. <\/p>\n

The national anthem will be performed by Jay Cone, a Jacksonville resident who was featured this year on American Idol. <\/p>\n

Giovanna Merchant, a student from the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind, will interpret \u201cThe Star-Spangled Banner\u201d for the hearing impaired.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the Colors for the Game will be presented by members of the Englewood High School JROTC Color Guard Team. <\/p>\n

Then, the moment we\u2019ve all been waiting for: Jaguars football. <\/p>\n

At halftime, the 12U Jaguars Elite and the 12U Fusion girls\u2019 flag football teams will play an exhibition game with Jaxson de Ville serving as the celebrity referee. The 12U Girls Fusion team represented the Jaguars during the NFL FLAG Championships in Canton, Ohio, in July.<\/p>\n
