SAN ANTONIO \u2014 A woman is in the hospital after being hit by a vehicle on the northwest side, police say.<\/p>\n
SAPD was called to the intersection of North San Dario and Culebra Road for a major accident at about 4:45 a.m. Saturday morning.<\/p>\n
The driver told police she thought she hit something, but she wasn’t sure what.<\/p>\n
Officers searched the area and found a woman in the roadway with major injuries from the crash.<\/p>\n
The woman was known to be crossing an area where there wasn’t a crosswalk, police say.<\/p>\n
She was taken to the hospital where at last check she was fighting life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
The driver remained on scene and helped with the investigation.<\/p>\n
