Previously, this was included by default, but Google Wallet made a change in late July\/early August. My transactions in the past week don\u2019t show the map card, just the cost, day\/date, statement, and transaction ID.<\/p>\n<p>In place of where the map usually would be, there\u2019s a prompt: \u201cGet detailed receipts, like merchant name and address, for future tap to pay transactions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-wp-class--hide=\"state.isContentHidden\" data-wp-class--show=\"state.isContentVisible\" data-wp-init=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" data-wp-on-async--click=\"actions.showLightbox\" data-wp-on-async--load=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" data-wp-on-async-window--resize=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\"  alt=\"\" data-height=\"2424\" data-id=\"683773\" data-link=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/?attachment_id=683773\" data-url=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/08\/Google-Wallet-receipts-location-map-2a.jpg?quality=82&amp;strip=all&amp;w=456\" data-width=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Google-Wallet-receipts-location-map-2a.jpg\" data-amp-layout=\"responsive\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" data-wp-class--hide=\"state.isContentHidden\" data-wp-class--show=\"state.isContentVisible\" data-wp-init=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" data-wp-on-async--click=\"actions.showLightbox\" data-wp-on-async--load=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" data-wp-on-async-window--resize=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\"  alt=\"\" data-height=\"2424\" data-id=\"683774\" data-link=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/?attachment_id=683774\" data-url=\"https:\/\/9to5google.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/08\/Google-Wallet-receipts-location-map-1a.jpg?quality=82&amp;strip=all&amp;w=456\" data-width=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Google-Wallet-receipts-location-map-1a.jpg\" data-amp-layout=\"responsive\"\/><\/p>\n<p>If you tap \u201cSet up location settings,\u201d Google Wallet walks you through enabling the \u201cPrecise location\u201d permission \u201cWhile using the app.\u201d Select a card and open your most recent receipt to start the process.<\/p>\n<p>\tAdvertisement &#8211; scroll for more content<\/p>\n<p>In testing today, enabling location just brings back the old map, with no other updates to Google Wallet receipts.\u00a0After enabling, past transactions that lack location will not retroactively get the map after granting the permission.<\/p>\n<p>Ideally, Google Wallet would notify users ahead of time about this change, so that they can enable it before missing the map on any of their last 10 payments.
