PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 It\u2019s a happy ending for a Valley family after their pet baby tortoise, Ravioli, was feared to be lost in transit on his way to his new home.<\/p>\n

In an update on Saturday morning, the Hanes family said that Ravioli made it to the Valley alive and well! The family says they are grateful for everyone\u2019s involvement to make sure Ravioli finished his journey safely.<\/p>\n

The family initially said that they purchased the 4-month-old red-footed tortoise through a breeder in Texas. The baby tortoise was supposed to be shipped overnight through FedEx, but a full day passed with no sight of Ravioli.<\/a><\/p>\n

The tracking information for the pet went cold after he was shipped from Garland, Texas, then to Memphis, Tennessee. But after a slight delay in transit, Ravioli is now with his forever family. <\/p>\n
