PHOENIX (AZFamily)<\/b> \u2014 A new piece of artwork was unveiled Saturday at PHX Arena in downtown Phoenix. <\/p>\n

The Phoenix Suns\/Phoenix Mercury Foundation collaborated with local muralist Antoinette Cauley to design and create the mural on the west side of the arena.<\/p>\n

It features Mercury legend Diana Taurasi, Mercury guard Kahleah Copper and young girls from the Jr. Mercury Legacy League youth basketball program.<\/p>\n

This new mural replaced a previous one that celebrated former Mercury star Britney Griner after her release from detention in Russia<\/a>. Griner left the team in free agency last offseason to join the Atlanta Dream<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Last summer, Cauley painted a Mercury-themed mural on an outdoor basketball court at Palomino Park<\/a> to celebrate Phoenix hosting 2024 WNBA All-Star Weekend.<\/p>\n
