If the first day of a month falls on a holiday or weekend, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.gov\/faqs\/en\/questions\/KA-02531.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">SSI payments will be issued the previous business day<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Beneficiaries are people with limited income who are either blind, 65 and older, or have a qualifying disability.<\/p>\n<p>The amount recipients receive varies based on several factors, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.gov\/oact\/cola\/SSI.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">including the number of people filing<\/a>.
