SAN ANTONIO – A motorcyclist has tragically died in a collision with a pickup truck on the West Side.<\/p>\n
Around 8:25 p.m. on Saturday, police were called to the scene of a collision near the corner of SW 36th Street and Marbauch Avenue.<\/p>\n
When police arrived, they found a motorcyclist who had been riding an unregistered dirt bike, unresponsive after a collision. He was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
The motorcyclist had a passenger onboard, a 17-year-old girl, who was rushed to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. <\/p>\n
Police say the motorcyclist was riding along Marbauch when he attempted to overtake a truck and collided with an F-150.<\/p>\n
Investigators say the driver of the F-150 remained at the scene and was detained for questioning. Witnesses said the bike hit the truck as it was speeding through the intersection.<\/p>\n
