{"id":134336,"date":"2025-08-10T12:34:12","date_gmt":"2025-08-10T12:34:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/134336\/"},"modified":"2025-08-10T12:34:12","modified_gmt":"2025-08-10T12:34:12","slug":"veteran-bruins-blue-liner-cleared-for-training-camp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/us\/134336\/","title":{"rendered":"Veteran Bruins Blue-Liner Cleared For Training Camp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hampus Lindholm is expected to be at full strength when the Boston Bruins open training camp Sept. 17.<\/p>\n<p>Entering a year defined by roster changes and new leadership, the 31-year-old defenseman\u2019s return will be a boost for a blue line that missed his presence for most of last season.<\/p>\n<p>Lindholm\u2019s year was cut short after just 17 games due to a <a href=\"https:\/\/nesn.com\/2025\/04\/bruins-hampus-lindholm-provides-new-information-on-injury-setback\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">fractured kneecap<\/a> suffered in November, halting a promising start in which he posted three goals, four assists and logged nearly 21 minutes per game.<\/p>\n<p>Now healthy, Lindholm <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/GlobeKPD\/status\/1953975663163253195?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">confirmed his status<\/a> in a conversation with Boston Globe hockey writer Kevin Paul Dupont. \u201cEnjoyable phone chat this week with Hampus Lindholm,\u201d Dupont wrote on X. \u201cB\u2019s veteran D\u2019man says fractured kneecap is fully healed \u2014 and he is 100 pct go for Sept. 17 start of camp. His first full season with the club saw him set a career high with 53 points in 80 games while averaging more than 23 minutes per night.<\/p>\n<p class=\"nesn-in-content-ad__copy\">Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<p>That versatility \u2014 strong skating, sharp puck movement and an ability to contribute in all situations \u2014 makes him an ideal left-side complement to Charlie McAvoy.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Lindholm returns to a left side that now features Mason Lohrei coming off a 33-point breakout and Nikita Zadorov bringing a reliable defensive edge. With Marco Sturm steering the bench, the team has the pieces for both stability and growth. <\/p>\n<p class=\"nesn-in-content-ad__copy\">Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<p>For Lindholm, the start of camp on September 18 will be more than a return to health.
